Project Pabst, Shady Pines Fest, and more!

Lots of festival news coming out this week!

Project Pabst Returns

First off, after a 7-year hiatus, Project Pabst has announced a festival lineup. Featuring a pretty eclectic overall group of musicians, (including Billy Idol and T-Pain next to each other on the bill), two local all-stars will also be featured (not counting STRFKR, as imo they have transcended the ‘local act’ category).

Alt-Rockers Alien Boy will play on Saturday, and indie outfit Glitterfox will feature on Sunday. Both are great bands, and it’s always nice to see local groups in festivals drawing international acts.

Mississippi Studios announce Stumpfest X

Mississippi Studios has announced the lineup for this year’s Stumpfest, featuring metal and rock bands from all over the nation, except Portland. (womp womp)

That said, it looks like a pretty sick lineup, and I’m delighted to learn that there’s a band named Black Math Horseman, as a fan of the (presumably) name-inspiring show.

Shady Pines Fest is a go!

After wrapping up their fundraiser, Shady Pines Radio has announced their festival dates and location. This year, it will be held on July 18 – 22 at “a beautiful new location in Oregon City called Eel Ranch.”

The lineup is TBD, and there are even open submissions if you’d like your band to be considered, but keep in mind that they’re prioritizing artists who are active in their community.

More info available on their website.
